The project "The rights of the excluded", started in January 2008, has as its primary objectives the protection of free legal aid to the homeless, the opening of new branches in other Italian cities, the growth of the common experience of the Association and its own strengthening, and awareness of institutions and citizens on issues of social exclusion and protection of the rights.
To defend the rights of the people who end up in increasing numbers in the street, the association intends to make it easier and faster exchange of data and information between all members of the Association, and between the Association and the outside. To do this, the association works to create a database that brings together all the best practices found, and the identification of a methodology for conservation and consultation of these same practices.
In today's society it is vital to communicate what is achieved, and in the manner intended not to disclose what Street lawyer does with the efforts of its volunteers disperse mean something important.
Street lawyer therefore intends to promote meetings, seminars and conferences on the theme of social exclusion and protection of the rights, and produce publications on the same topics.
The national association is a network of many important territorial realities of volunteering and a vantage point to see what happens in different geographical areas of Italy. Thanks to its business Street lawyer can therefore communicate with the outside, with individuals but also with public institutions, needs, and shortcomings of the welfare state and the legal system, who every day are revealed before the eyes of the volunteers receiving the counters.
