Poverty in Italy today is a growing problem. With the casualization of labor and the loosening of traditional social ties an increasing number of people end up living on the street, jobless, without a place to stay, without the possibility of returning to a normal life. Among these people on the margins, perhaps the most vulnerable group are women alone or with minor children.

“Road: female, singular” Lawyer is a project of the road non-profit organization implemented in collaboration with non-profit organization Flowers Road, which has as its objective the legal protection of women's homelessness and social exclusion, awareness of issues of exclusion and protection of rights, monitoring of the phenomenon of women in conditions of poverty and marginalization.

Actions planned

- Implementation of a staff of professionals to carry out consultancy and legal assistance to protect the rights of homeless women;
- Activation of a support worker for the users of desk office;
- Promotion of moments of awareness and publication of materials related to the theme of marginality and social protection of the rights of homeless women;
- Production of a monitoring report of the phenomenon.

Opening hours and receptions

Starting in October 2008 the second and fourth Wednesday of the month from h.15 h.17 to a group of lawyers regarding legal issues of gender will offer free legal protection to all women who present themselves to the doors of Via Lodovico Berti 2/9, Bologna.
