The project "Street Lawyer", realized for the first time as part of the Friends of the Piazza Grande, Born in Bologna at the end of 2000, with the basic objective of protecting the rights of homeless people. The experience was born from the need, felt by many, to ensure a supply of legal expertise to those citizens objectively deprived of their fundamental rights.

The European Parliament Street lawyer assigned to the Association Onlus the CIVI EUROPAEO PREMIUM 2013. The award, established in 2009 dal Parliament europeo, to reward individuals or groups of people who stood out for their exceptional character in promoting better mutual understanding and a close integration of the peoples of the Member States, who made everyday actions that put into practice the values hospitality, of solidarity and tolerance, or that encourage European integration, particularly deserving actions undertaken by citizens in the context of the work of the European Union with third countries translate into practice the values of solidarity and international cooperation.
